Van Destroyed in Fire at Cowboy Gas Station in Watertown Saturday Afternoon

Northeast Radio SD News – Watertown, SD - A van was destroyed Saturday afternoon after it caught fire in the parking lot of the Cowboy Country Store Gas Station at the intersection of Highway 81 and Highway 212, according to Watertown Fire Rescue.


Crews were dispatched around 1:30 p.m. on June 6 for a report of a vehicle fire. When firefighters arrived, they found the van fully engulfed in flames, the department reported.

Firefighters quickly brought the blaze under control and extinguished it. Personnel remained on scene for about 40 minutes to check for hot spots and clear debris left behind from the fire.
