City of Watertown Approves Fireworks Display for Great Plains High School Homecoming

Northeast News SD - Watertown, SD - The City of Watertown has given its approval for a fireworks display to be held in conjunction with the Great Plains High School Homecoming celebration.

The event is scheduled for the evening of Tuesday, September 16, 2025.

Jeff Bendix will present the fireworks show at the high school. Residents who live near the school may hear or see the display and should be aware of the planned event.

The city advises that people can plan accordingly and enjoy the show as part of the school’s homecoming festivities.
