Northeast Radio SD News – Sioux Falls - The U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of South Dakota collected more than $9.5 million through legal actions during the 2025 fiscal year. U.S. Attorney Ron Parsons announced that $9,516,233.90 was secured through criminal fines, restitution, loan defaults, bankruptcy, forfeiture, and civil enforcement efforts. Additionally, the district collaborated with other components of the Department of Justice to collect an additional $16.7 million. Of the total collections, $8.9 million was derived from criminal cases. From that amount, the office returned $8,801,058.91 directly to victims of crime, ensuring justice and support for those affected by criminal acts.
