City of Watertown Launches Employee Recognition: Highlighting Four Dedicated Team Members

Northeast Radio SD News - Watertown, SD - The City of Watertown is recognizing the dedication of four key employees in its latest segment of the #WatertownWorks series. The program features individuals from various departments whose service and commitment are vital to maintaining city infrastructure, public safety, and administrative functions.
This week, the city is recognizing: Brad Moeller, Scott Jongbloed, Amber Bosworth, and Jamie Jordan.
Brad Moeller – Heavy Equipment Operator, Landfill
Brad Moeller is a veteran City employee, having served for over 31 years at the Watertown Regional Landfill. As a Heavy Equipment Operator, he states he enjoys being outdoors and “running big Tonka toys.” Moeller is proud to be part of a team that builds and maintains infrastructure designed to last for decades. Outside of work, he enjoys shooting and spending time with his family.
Scott Jongbloed – Assistant Chief, Fire Rescue
Scott Jongbloed has dedicated 26 years to serving the community through Watertown Fire Rescue. As Assistant Chief, he oversees department operations and manages the budget. Jongbloed takes pride in helping shape the department’s direction as it continues to grow and is notably proud of starting the 4th Grade Fire Safety Essay Contest. A fun fact revealed about the Assistant Chief: at age 16, he had the rare opportunity to steer the USS Eisenhower aircraft carrier in the Atlantic.
Amber Bosworth – Executive Assistant to the City Manager
Amber Bosworth, who joined the City in August, serves as the Executive Assistant to the City Manager. She is credited as the “behind-the-scenes glue” who keeps schedules organized and day-to-day operations running smoothly. Bosworth noted the warm welcome and camaraderie she has experienced, which have made her new role feel like home. Outside the office, she is passionate about community theater, with over 25 years of experience in acting, directing, and backstage work.
Jamie Jordan – Facilities Maintenance Superintendent, Park and Rec
Jamie Jordan, who started with the City nine months ago, is the Facilities Maintenance Superintendent for Parks & Recreation. He oversees the maintenance and cleaning of nine City buildings, ranging from City Hall to the Ice Arena, ensuring they are safe and functional for both the public and staff. Jordan, who is an Army veteran, enjoys the variety of his newly created role. Outside of work, he enjoys home projects, fishing, grilling, and time with his wife and three children.
The City expressed its appreciation for the positive impact these employees make, emphasizing that their commitment to service is a key reason #WatertownWorks.
