Northeast Radio SD News - Watertown, SD - Americans for Prosperity–South Dakota (AFP–SD) is hosting a community dinner focused on the critical issue of property taxes, titled "Your Town, Your Taxes Dinner," at the Goss Opera House in Watertown.
The event is scheduled for Thursday, November 20, 2025, from 5:30 PM to 7:00 PM CST. It will take place at The Goss Opera House, located at 100 E Kemp Ave, Suite A.
This session aims to bring South Dakotans together to discuss one of the most prominent topics of the upcoming legislative session: property taxes. Attendees will have the opportunity to learn where their tax dollars are allocated, how they are spent, and effective ways to ensure their voice is heard in the process.
AFP–SD has organized the event to break down complex tax issues into "simple, practical terms" and to demonstrate how easy it is for citizens to get involved and make a difference in their community's fiscal future.
A highlight of the evening will be the attendance of Governor Larry Rhoden and area District 4 State Senator Glen Vilhauer, who will join the conversation. The event offers an evening of food, community connection, and conversation.
Seats for the dinner are limited, and tickets are required. Interested individuals are encouraged to RSVP as soon as possible. More details and registration information can be found through the Americans for Prosperity – South Dakota event page.
