Hendricks Teen Hospitalized After Pickup Rollover Near White, South Dakota

Northeast Radio SD News – Brookings County, SD - The Brookings County Sheriff’s Office says an 18‑year‑old Hendricks man was taken to the hospital Tuesday after a single‑vehicle rollover northeast of White.

The crash occurred at 12:04 p.m. on August 11 along 487th Avenue near 202nd Street. First responders from the Sheriff’s Office, White Fire Department, White Ambulance, and Hendricks Ambulance arrived to find a 2003 Ford F‑150 that had left the roadway and rolled.

According to investigators, the pickup entered a ditch, struck a field approach, and overturned. The driver, Jake Hawks, 18, of Hendricks, was evaluated at the scene for unknown injuries and transported to Hendricks Hospital.

The Sheriff’s Office says the incident remains under investigation.
