Rossman Announces Re-election Bid for Watertown School Board

Northeast Radio SD News - Watertown, SD - Watertown School Board member Roshal Rossman has “officially” entered the race to retain her seat in the upcoming 2026 election cycle.


Rossman announced during the board’s regular meeting on Monday night. Her current three-year term is set to expire this year, and she confirmed her intention to seek another term as the petition window approaches.


“I do intend to take one out,” Rossman stated, referring to the nominating petitions. “My hat’s in the ring. I guess I said it out loud now.”


Nominating petitions for the school board openings will officially become available for circulation starting February 2, 2026. Candidates must gather the required number of signatures from registered district voters to appear on the ballot for the combined city and school election scheduled for June 2, 2026.


Rossman was most recently elected to her current three-year term in June 2023.
