Sarah Wells to Headline Feuerstein Series at Lake Area Technical College in Watertown

Northeast Radio SD News – Watertown, SD - The Lake Area Technical College Foundation has announced the return of the Feuerstein Series, a long‑running community seminar established in 2000 by Lew Feuerstein, family, and friends in memory of his late wife, Dee Feuerstein. Dee, a well‑known Watertown educator and businesswoman, is remembered for her commitment to personal growth, leadership, and community service. Although Lew passed away in April 2023, the beloved series continues.

The 22nd Feuerstein Series will feature keynote speaker Sarah Wells, an Olympian, excellence architect, keynote speaker, mother, and self‑described cookie connoisseur. Wells is known for her message of resilience, having overcome adversity on the world’s biggest athletic stage and later competing on The Amazing Race, where she demonstrated grit, adaptability, and humor.

Her keynote, “Overcoming Hurdles: Embracing Change and Turning Obstacles into Opportunities,” focuses on navigating constant change and using challenges as catalysts for success.

The event is open to students, faculty, staff, alumni, and community members. Tickets will not be sold at the door.
