SDDOT to Hold Public Meeting on I-29 Exit 15 and Main Street Improvements in Elk Point

Northeast Radio SD News – Elk Point, SD - The South Dakota Department of Transportation will host a public meeting open house on Wednesday, Sept. 30, 2026, to discuss a planned improvement project at Interstate 29 (Exit 15) and Main Street in Elk Point.
The project includes structure replacement, ramp modifications, grading, surfacing, and ADA upgrades at the interchange and along Main Street.
The meeting will be held at Elk Point City Hall, 106 W. Pleasant St., with a presentation beginning shortly after 5:30 p.m. Attendees will have the opportunity to speak one‑on‑one with SDDOT design staff, ask questions, and provide input.
SDDOT encourages area residents, business owners, and daily commuters to participate.
The department notes that individuals needing ADA accommodations should contact the SDDOT ADA Coordinator at 605‑773‑3540 at least two business days before the meeting. The location is physically accessible.
