Watertown Area Chamber Seeks Nominations for 2026 Annual Awards Honoring Local Business Leaders and Community Impact
Northeast Radio SD News – Watertown, SD - The Watertown Area Chamber of Commerce is calling on residents, businesses, and community members to help spotlight the people and organizations making a difference in the community. Nominations are now open for the Chamber’s 2026 Annual Awards, with four major honors to be presented this fall.
The Chamber is seeking nominations for:
· Businessman of the Year
· Businesswoman of the Year
· Business of the Year
· Spirit of Watertown Award
Chamber officials say the awards are designed to recognize individuals and businesses that go above and beyond — whether through exceptional customer service, community involvement, leadership, or efforts that strengthen Watertown’s quality of life.
“Watertown is full of people whose passion, dedication, and love for this community can be felt everywhere they go,” the Chamber shared in its announcement. “We want to hear who YOU believe deserves a moment in the spotlight.”
Residents are encouraged to nominate business owners, leaders, or organizations that consistently show up for the community, support local initiatives, or demonstrate outstanding commitment to their employees and customers.

Awards Ceremony Set for October
Winners will be announced during the Watertown Area Chamber of Commerce Annual Celebration, scheduled for:

· Watertown Event Center
The Chamber says the celebration will highlight the people and businesses that help make Watertown a place residents are proud to call home.
