Watertown Baseball Association Announces Hall of Fame Class of 2026

Northeast Radio SD News - Watertown, SD - The Watertown Baseball Association (WBA) has officially announced the three individuals selected for induction into the Watertown Baseball Hall of Fame Class of 2026. The honorees include former standout players Jason Adams, Tanner Neale, and Grant Osthus.

Class of 2026 Inductees
Jason “Goon” Adams (1995–1997) A left-handed pitcher known for his 6’6” frame and power on the mound, Adams ranks fourth all-time in Watertown history with 264 career strikeouts and a 24–13 record. His senior season remains one for the record books, setting a single-season high for innings pitched (105) and earning All-State honors. Adams later pitched for Southwest Minnesota State University (SMSU), where he helped lead the Mustangs to a 1999 conference tournament championship. Following his playing career, he served as a WBA board member.
Tanner Neale (2009–2011). Recognized as one of the program’s premier defensive catchers, Neale maintained a .978 fielding percentage and threw out 43% of opposing baserunners during his Post 17 career. He continued his career at SMSU, where he set a school record with a career .997 fielding percentage. Neale also played professionally for the Kansas City T-Bones in 2016. He currently serves as an assistant coach for North Dakota State University, where he has contributed to two Summit League Tournament championships.

Grant Osthus (1992–1994). He is honored for his performance as a two-way player, excelling as both a hitter and a pitcher. He finished his Post 17 career with a .350 batting average and 95 RBIs. On the mound, he compiled an 18–8 record with 137 strikeouts. His 1994 senior season was particularly notable, as he earned All-State honors and recorded a 9–1 pitching record—the second-best single-season win percentage in program history.
Induction Ceremony and Weekend Events
The Hall of Fame weekend is scheduled for May 1–2, 2026.
· Induction Ceremony: The official ceremony will take place on Friday, May 1, at 2nd Street Station.
· Commemorative Game: On Saturday, May 2, the inductees will participate in a ceremonial first pitch and a banner unveiling during a doubleheader between Watertown and Brandon Valley. The first game is scheduled to begin at 1:00 p.m.
Tickets for the induction ceremony go on sale in early April.
