Watertown Development Company Announces 2025 Manufacturing Week Award Winners

Northeast Radio SD News - Watertown, SD - The Watertown Development Company (WDC) has announced the recipients of its 2025 Manufacturing Week Awards, a program recognizing outstanding professionals who contribute to the strength and success of the city’s manufacturing sector. The awards were held in conjunction with National Manufacturing Week.
Six individuals were selected as category winners from a competitive pool of nominations submitted by local employers. Each winner received $100 in Chamber Bucks and was entered into a grand prize drawing.
The 2025 category winners are:
· Machine Operator: Troy Lindgren, ESCO
· Welder: Roger DeVine, Nutting Carts and Trailers
· Production Support: Monica Hill, Spartronics
· Painters & Prep: Kody Johnson, Persona
· All Other Production: Phuong Lam, Spartronics
· Engineering/Quality Control: Dianne Griepp, Persona
The WDC noted that the winners were recognized not only for their technical expertise but also for demonstrating essential qualities such as commitment to safety, teamwork, attention to detail, and critical thinking.
In addition to the category awards, two grand prize winners were selected:
· Monica Hill of Spartronics, with over 23 years of experience, received the first-place prize—a Mack Steel Smokeless Firepit.
· Roger DeVine of Nutting Carts and Trailers, who has more than 35 years of experience, was awarded the second-place prize—a $100 Trav’s Outfitters gift card.
The Watertown Development Company congratulated the winners and thanked the participating companies, stating the awards highlight the talent within Watertown's workforce and the individuals who drive innovation and excellence in the local economy.
