Watertown Figure Skate Club Dominates at Magic City International

Northeast Radio SD News – Minot, ND/Watertown, SD - The Watertown Figure Skate Club (WFSC) made a powerful statement this past weekend, sending 19 skaters to compete in the prestigious Magic City International Skate Competition. Facing a high level of regional and international competition—including clubs from Skate Canada, Bismarck, Grand Forks, and more—Watertown athletes delivered nearly 100 individual routines and secured historic team victories.

Milestone Team Successes

The weekend was highlighted by two major firsts for the club’s team programs:

·        Showcase Production Team: In their season debut, the team captured 1st Place.

·        Theatre on Ice (TOI) Intermediate Team: Making club history, the first-ever TOI team debuted with a 1st Place finish.

Both teams are now looking ahead to the National competitions scheduled for this summer in California and Colorado.

The WFSC celebrated a weekend of personal bests, with several skaters earning National Showcase Qualifier status.
