Northeast Radio SD News - Watertown, SD - The Watertown Lions Club has announced a new partnership with Professional Hearing Services to establish "SD Hears," a program designed to provide hearing assistance to local and area residents facing financial barriers to care.

The initiative aims to expand access to comprehensive hearing healthcare, including testing, services, support, and hearing aids, for individuals who cannot afford them.

Dr. Todd Decker, Audiologist and Owner of Professional Hearing Services, expressed enthusiasm for the collaboration. “At Professional Hearing Services, our goal is always to improve people’s lives through better hearing,” stated Decker. “We are excited to partner with the Lions Club to make sure that option is available to anyone in need of hearing healthcare, regardless of their current financial situation.”

Local Fundraising Efforts

To fund the SD Hears program, the Watertown Lions Club will dedicate the proceeds from its weekly Progressive Pot Blackout Bingo nights. These events are held every Tuesday at Second Street Station in Watertown.

Jamie Mack, President of the Watertown Lions Club, highlighted the dual benefit of the fundraisers. “We are so excited to gather together to have fun while also raising funds for people right here in our community,” Mack said.

The Lions Club ensures that 100% of the funds raised through the bingo nights will remain local to support the SD Hears program.

Upcoming Bingo Event Details

The community is invited to support the cause at the next bingo event on Tuesday, December 2, at Second Street Station. Doors open at 6:00 p.m., with bingo starting at 6:30 p.m.
