Watertown Mosquito Spraying Resumes Tonight (7/31) in Northwest Area After Weather Delay

Northeast Radio SD News – Watertown, SD - The City of Watertown says mosquito spraying will resume tonight in the northwest part of town after weather prevented crews from completing the work Thursday evening.

According to the city’s Mosquito Control Program, adult mosquito counts have reached the threshold for treatment in the area north of 3rd Avenue North and west of Broadway. Spraying is scheduled to begin after 9 p.m. tonight, weather permitting.

The city notes that while the adulticide used is considered safe, residents may want to take basic precautions during spraying, including staying indoors, keeping children and pets inside for about an hour afterward, and rinsing homegrown produce before eating.
