Young Marksmen to Take Aim at Northeast South Dakota 4-H Air Gun Tournament

Northeast Radio SD News - Milbank, SD - Youth shooters from across the region are invited to test their skills at the upcoming Northeast South Dakota 4-H Air Gun Tournament, scheduled for Saturday, March 14, 2026, at the Grant County 4-H Complex in Milbank.

The event is open to all 4-H youth ages 8 to 18. Participants will compete in three main disciplines: Air Pistol, Air Rifle, and BB Gun, with South Dakota 4-H rules applying to all competitions.

Registration and Deadlines Families are encouraged to register early, as the deadline to sign up is February 28, 2026. Registration can be completed by scanning the QR code on the event flyer or by contacting the local office.

The entry fee is $10 per youth discipline. Payment is due on the day of the tournament and must be made via cash or check only.

Tournament Schedule Competition begins promptly at 9:00 a.m. with the first line of shooters. Lines for Air Pistol, Air Rifle, and BB Gun will roll through the day. The specific session times are as follows:

·        BB Gun:

o   Session 1: 9:00 a.m. – 10:15 a.m.

o   Session 2: 10:30 a.m. – 11:45 a.m.

o   Session 3: 12:00 p.m. – 1:15 p.m.

o   Session 4: 1:30 p.m. – 2:45 p.m.

·        Air Rifle:

o   Session 1: 10:15 a.m. – 11:45 a.m.

o   Session 2: 1:15 p.m. – 2:45 p.m.

·        Air Pistol:

o   Session 1: 9:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m.

o   Session 2: 12:00 p.m. – 1:00 p.m.

The tournament will be held at the Grant County 4-H Complex, located at 517 Flynn Drive, Milbank, SD 57252. A concession stand will be available on-site for participants and spectators.
