Northeast Radio SD News - Watertown, SD - The Beacon Center has announced that Helen Kranz and her late husband, Ralph Kranz, will be jointly presented with the organization's prestigious Beacon Award. The award recognizes individuals whose commitment and generosity have created a lasting impact on the organization and the wider community.

The Beacon Award is reserved for those whose contributions "shine as a guiding light for others," according to Kellee Dragt, Development Coordinator of the Beacon Center. Dragt specifically cited Helen Kranz's "unwavering dedication," noting that her commitment, even at 102 years old, serves as inspiration for the organization’s mission.

By honoring both Helen and Ralph Kranz, the Beacon Center acknowledges not only their significant generosity but also the enduring legacy the couple established together.

The Beacon Center provides essential services to men, women, and children struggling with issues related to domestic violence, sexual assault, and stalking across Clark, Codington, Deuel, Grant, and Hamlin Counties. The organization uses community support, programs, and outreach to offer resources and hope to families in need.

The award presentation is scheduled to take place on October 8 at 3:30 p.m. at Harmony Hill.
