Northeast Radio SD News – Watertown, SD - The City of Watertown is advising residents that a Bluepeak infrastructure upgrade project will begin Monday, July 13, with work continuing through October 2026, according to a public service announcement issued Friday.
City officials say the project area stretches from 5th Street SW to 9th Street NE, and from 9th Avenue SE / U.S. Highway 212 to 1st Avenue NW. Work will take place in alleys as well as across main roads.
During construction, residents may experience temporary limitations to driveway access, though the city notes that homes will remain reachable most of the time. Motorists are urged to use caution, follow posted traffic control devices, and obey flaggers throughout the work zone.
Anyone with questions may contact the City of Watertown Engineering Division at (605) 882‑6202.
