Codington County Absentee Voting Begins Sept. 18 for 2026 General Election in Watertown

Northeast Radio SD News – Watertown, SD - Codington County Auditor Brenda Hanten announced that absentee voting for the 2026 General Election will begin Friday, Sept. 18. Voters may cast an absentee ballot in person at the Auditor’s Office from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, through Monday, Nov. 2, 2026, at 5:00 p.m.

Hanten also noted that Sample Ballots and the 2026 Ballot Questions pamphlets from the South Dakota Secretary of State are now available at the Auditor’s Office for voters wishing to review election materials ahead of time.
