Codington County Moves Forward with Pre-Trial Case Manager Interviews and Approves Personnel Changes

Northeast Radio SD News – Watertown, SD - The Codington County Board of Commissioners approved several personnel changes and outlined upcoming hiring efforts during their regular session.


Commissioner Lee Gabel informed the Board that interviews for a new pre-trial case manager are scheduled for Monday, June 8, 2026. The interview panel will be comprised of Sara Foust, Angie Collignon, Commissioner Gabel, and HR Director Natalie Remund.


In other personnel matters, the Board unanimously approved the hiring of two new Park Custodians for Memorial Park: Maxwell Lee Kurtenbach and Keegan Mix. Both will start at $18.68 per hour effective June 2, 2026. Additionally, James Torstenson was approved as an Emergency Management On-Call employee at a rate of $30 per hour, effective June 1, 2026.


The Board also greenlit several new jail claims, authorizing payments to Architecture Incorporated, Beckenhauer Construction Inc., Geotek Engineering, The Tegra Group, Inc., and Wild Buffalo Tech & Innovation.
