Codington County Road Resurfacing Continues East of Watertown on 169th Street

Northeast Radio SD News – Watertown, SD - Codington County Highway Superintendent Randy Falvey says pavement resurfacing along 169th Street east of Watertown to 460th Avenue, then south to South Highway 212, will continue over the next couple of weeks as crews grind and relay asphalt across the corridor.

According to the release, the roadway will remain open throughout the remainder of the project. However, motorists should expect active construction, uneven surfaces, and changing conditions as work progresses.

County officials warn that the resurfacing process can leave loose gravel on the roadway and that lane markings will not be present until striping crews complete their work. Striping is expected to follow the asphalt work and should be finished within three to four weeks, weather permitting.

Drivers are urged to slow down, remain alert, and use caution when traveling through the work zone.
