Northeast Radio SD News – Watertown, SD - The Codington County Highway Department will close a section of County Road 75 (460th Avenue) beginning Monday, May 18, to complete major bridge repair work.

The closure will run from 169th Street to 170th Street and is expected to last approximately one month, according to Highway Superintendent Randy Falvy.

The project focuses on repairing the east side of the bridge, which sustained damage during a previous spring thaw. The work zone will affect access to multiple gravel pits in the area, and the county advises drivers to plan accordingly.

The roadway will be open to local traffic only, with no through traffic permitted during construction.

Falvy said additional highway projects will also be underway nearby and urged motorists to use caution and remain patient when traveling in the area.

Residents with questions may contact the Codington County Highway Department for more information.
