Northeast Radio SD News – Watertown, SD - The South Dakota Department of Labor and Regulation (DLR) has announced the return of its premier online employment initiative, the second annual “Jobs in the 605: Level Up Your Career” statewide virtual hiring event.

Scheduled for Wednesday, May 20, from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. CDT (1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. MDT), this digital event connects job seekers and employers across the region.

The virtual event is completely free of charge for both participating businesses and job seekers.

Elevating Opportunities for Job Seekers

For South Dakotans looking to take the next step in their professional journeys, this event removes geographic barriers and opens doors to statewide opportunities. Key benefits for job seekers include:

·         Browse Top Roles: Attendees can explore a diverse array of open positions across various industries.

·         Instant Access: The platform allows participants to text and chat live with actively hiring managers.

·         Direct Interviews: Job seekers can participate in same-day chat or video interviews, drastically speeding up the traditional hiring process.

Streamlined Solutions for Employers

The DLR is actively inviting businesses across the state to secure a complimentary virtual booth. This platform allows organizations to discuss immediate openings, share company culture, and interview candidates on the spot. Employers can expect several key advantages:

·         Statewide Reach: Companies can meet talent from across the entire region without the logistical constraints of a traditional in-person fair.

·         Streamlined Hiring: Virtual workflows save valuable time and resources by consolidating screening and interviewing into a single afternoon.

·         Brand Growth: Businesses have an excellent opportunity to build and expand their market presence across South Dakota.
