Grant and Deuel County 4-H Members Named to 2026–2027 South Dakota State 4-H Ambassador Team
Northeast Radio SD News – Grant & Deuel County - South Dakota 4‑H has announced its 2026–2027 State 4‑H Ambassador Team, and this year’s group includes two familiar faces for local readers: Grant County’s Mackenzie Mueller and Kayla Schweer, along with Deuel County’s Kelton King. All three will represent the region as part of an 11‑member statewide leadership team selected during interviews at the South Dakota State Fair.
The State 4‑H Ambassador Program is designed to help youth strengthen leadership, communication, public speaking, problem‑solving, and critical‑thinking skills. Ambassadors serve as role models for younger members, assist with statewide programming, and help share the impact of 4‑H with communities across South Dakota.
The full 2026–2027 State 4‑H Ambassador Team includes:

· Jack Tinker, Minnehaha County
· Madelyn Lund, Turner County
· Teadon Seaboy, Brookings County

· Ian Torsney, Bon Homme County
· Baylee Bender, Marshall County
Over the next year, ambassadors will take part in leadership retreats, mentoring sessions, statewide 4‑H events, educational outreach, and advocacy efforts. Each ambassador will also develop an individual action plan and work directly with youth, elected officials, and community partners to highlight the value of 4‑H programming.
