Knights of Columbus Announces Free Throw Championship Winners; Qualifiers Advance to District

Northeast Radio SD News - Watertown, SD - The local chapter of the Knights of Columbus hosted the 2026 Basketball Free Throw Championship on Sunday, Jan. 25, at the Watertown Middle School.

The competition was open to boys and girls ages 9 through 14. Winners were determined by the number of shots made from the free-throw line in their respective age categories.

The winners for 2026 are:

Girls Division

·        Age 9: Campbell DeBoer

·        Age 11: Rylie Hoffman

·        Age 12: Dacotah Nowick

Boys Division

·        Age 9: Nathan Vandersnick

·        Age 10: Thias Yoder

·        Age 11: Rudy Stutzman

·        Age 12: Raxten Jackson

·        Age 13: Teddy Dandurand

·        Age 14: Leo Schumacher

First-place finishers in each division have qualified to advance to the District/Regional Knights of Columbus Free Throw Championship.

The next round of competition is scheduled for Sunday, Feb. 1, 2026, at 1:30 PM, and will be held at the Watertown Middle School.
