Lake Area Technical College's illuminated campus at dusk invites high school seniors to explore careers at Senior Tech Day.

Northeast Radio SD News - Watertown, SD - High school seniors looking to get a jump-start on their career planning are invited to experience Lake Area Technical College firsthand during Senior Tech Day on Tuesday, Feb. 4.

The event, which runs from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m., is designed to provide prospective students with a deep dive into the college’s hands-on, career-focused environment. Check-in begins at 9 a.m., and Lake Area Tech officials encourage parents to attend alongside their students.

During the visit, students will have the opportunity to attend classes, participate in lab work, and tour the campus facilities. The day also includes informative sessions regarding admissions, financial aid, housing, and the necessary steps for enrollment. Each registered student will receive a personalized schedule via email prior to the event, ensuring they can explore the programs that interest them most.

“Senior Tech Day helps students see what’s possible,” said Scott Carbonneau, Dean of Student Services at Lake Area Technical College. “When they experience our labs and hands-on learning environment, they gain clarity and confidence about their next steps.”
