Late‑Night House Fire in Milbank Contained Quickly; No Injuries Reported

Northeast Radio SD News – Milbank, SD - The Milbank Fire Department responded to a late‑night house fire Wednesday after receiving a dispatch at 10:57 p.m. for a residence at 402 East 4th Avenue.


According to Milbank Fire & Rescue, the occupants were home when the fire began but were able to exit the structure safely before crews arrived.

Firefighters located flames in the second‑floor ceiling and attic area. A fast response and quick extinguishment limited the overall damage to the home. The structure sustained fire, smoke, and water damage, but no injuries were reported.
