Nominations Open for 4th Annual Day of Development; Tickets Now on Sale for Premier Watertown Event

Northeast Radio SD News - Watertown, SD - The 4th Annual Day of Development is set to return to the Goss Opera House on Wednesday, March 25, 2026, bringing together professionals from across the region for a day of networking, culture building, and community recognition.


Organizers have announced that ticket sales are officially open for the event, which runs from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The day is designed to provide high-quality professional and personal development opportunities accessible to all community members, with a focus on fostering a strong, inclusive culture in Watertown.


“The 4th Annual Day of Development is all about networking, culture building, and recognizing the people who make Watertown stronger,” stated organizer Mitch Reed. “Because strong culture starts with recognizing great people.”


Call for Nominations: Honoring Local Leaders

A highlight of the 2026 event will be the presentation of two prestigious community awards: the Watertown Top 4 Under 40 and the Watertown Community Builder Award. Nominations are now being accepted for individuals who exemplify leadership, integrity, and dedication.


·        Top 4 Under 40: This award recognizes young professionals (ages 21–39) who are “moving mountains” in their workplace and community. Nominees should be individuals who drive results, elevate culture, and inspire others through their career and civic involvement. The deadline to nominate is February 10, 2026.


·        Watertown Community Builder Award: This honor is designed for the “unsung heroes” of the workplace—individuals who may not always seek the spotlight but are essential to their company’s success. Key traits for nominees include reliability, integrity, problem-solving skills, and longevity in their position. The deadline to nominate is February 20, 2026.


Event Details

The Day of Development is brought to you by Watertown Rotary, Mitch Reed Speaks, and various community stakeholders. The event will feature panels, speakers (including Mark Leinweaver), and opportunities for attendees to connect and grow their skills.
