One Injured in Two-Vehicle Crash Near Watertown, South Dakota

Northeast Radio SD News – Watertown, SD - A two-vehicle crash involving an SUV and a pickup truck sent one person to the hospital on Sunday afternoon.

Watertown Fire Rescue responded to the collision at the intersection of 171st Street and 447th Avenue at approximately 3:00 p.m. on September 20th, 2026. Codington County Deputy Sheriffs were also present to assist at the scene.

According to officials, one patient was evaluated by Medic 4 and subsequently transported to the Sanford ER for further medical evaluation.

Fire crews worked to secure the damaged vehicles and helped clear debris from the roadway. Both vehicles were then removed from the intersection by Performance Towing.
