Northeast Radio SD News - Watertown, SD - The City of Watertown Public Works Department will begin work on a lift station improvement project along South Lake Drive, with construction scheduled to start on Monday, October 27, 2025.

The project is focused on the area between 522 South Lake Drive and 532 South Lake Drive and is expected to be completed by Friday, November 7, 2025, barring any unforeseen delays.

The improvement project involves reconstructing the lift station lid and then performing road surface work around the newly replaced lid.

During the construction period, traffic along South Lake Drive near the project site will be reduced to one lane. While residences and businesses will remain accessible most of the time, there will be periods when access to driveways is limited.

Motorists are reminded to use extreme caution, observe all traffic control devices and flaggers, and avoid parking on the street within the designated work zones.

For questions regarding the project, residents and businesses are asked to contact the City of Watertown Engineering Division of the Public Works Department at (605) 882-6202.
