Northeast Radio SD News – Watertown, SD - Rachel’s Hope marked another record month in September, delivering more than 4,000 essential items to families across the Watertown area as demand for basic-needs assistance continues to rise.

The nonprofit reported serving 146 families, totaling 521 individuals — including 273 adults and 248 children. Volunteers completed 100 deliveries and 46 pickups, averaging 27.7 items per household.

In total, Rachel’s Hope distributed 4,045 essential items, including:

·         979 hygiene essentials

·         688 dental hygiene products

·         96 feminine hygiene items

·         131 diapering essentials

·         940 household cleaning supplies

·         989 paper goods

·         118 brushes and combs

·         Plus 74 additional items provided based on individual needs

Organizers say the continued growth reflects both rising community needs and strong local support.

“Please accept our gratitude for helping us make this massive positive impact within our community,” the organization shared, noting that donations and engagement from residents make the program possible.

A benefit event supporting Rachel’s Hope is scheduled for October 17 at Just 1 More Casino, where attendees can help replenish shelves ahead of the holiday season.
