Northeast Radio SD News - Watertown, SD - Rachel’s Hope, a Watertown-based nonprofit dedicated to providing hygiene and household essentials to families in need, reported its busiest month to date in August—serving 133 families and distributing nearly 3,900 items.

The organization, which launched just over a year ago, provided support to 518 individuals last month, including 269 adults and 249 children.

Among the items distributed were:

·        1,121 hygiene essentials

·        707 dental hygiene products

·        131 feminine hygiene products

·        115 diapering items

·        831 household cleaning supplies

·        826 paper goods

·        133 brushes and combs

·        19 miscellaneous items

With an average of 29 items per household, Rachel’s Hope completed 72 deliveries and 61 pickups in August alone.

“We are incredibly grateful for our customers, volunteers, donors, and our community of followers,” the organization shared. “We wouldn’t be here without you.”

Now that Rachel’s Hope has settled into its new location, the team is preparing to resume order fulfillment after a three-week pause. Before reopening, they’re asking for help restocking shelves—especially razors, which are currently in critically short supply.
