Rotary Club Awards Five Local Students $1,000 Scholarships

Northeast Radio SD News – Watertown, SD - The Watertown Rotary Club has announced the recipients of its 2026 Rotary Scholarships, awarding five local students $1,000 each for their essay submissions and commitment to academic excellence and service.


This year’s scholarship recipients are:


·         Abbigail Reeves

·         Murray Erickson

·         Mily Bruning

·         Christina Jongbloed

·         Ty Sullivan


The scholarships are awarded annually to students who demonstrate strong leadership qualities, community involvement, and a dedication to furthering their education. Recipients will receive their funds after submitting proof of enrollment for the fall semester, with checks issued later in the academic year.


Rotary members say the scholarship program reflects the club’s mission to support youth development and invest in the next generation of community leaders.


The Watertown Rotary Club extends its congratulations to all five students and wishes them success as they begin the next chapter of their academic journeys.
