SDDOT Seeks Public Input on Highway 25 Project North of Scotland

Northeast Radio SD News – Scotland, SD - The South Dakota Department of Transportation (SDDOT) is asking for public input on a proposed grading, surfacing, and structure project planned for S.D. Highway 25 north of Scotland.

According to the department, the project area extends from two and one-half miles north of S.D. Highway 50 to U.S. Highway 18. A public meeting open house is scheduled for Tuesday, July 28, 2026, at the Scotland School District, located at 711 4th St. A presentation will begin shortly after 5:30 p.m. (CT), followed by an informal open house where attendees can speak one-on-one with SDDOT design staff.

Displays outlining the proposed work will be available, and staff will be on hand to answer questions and gather feedback.

Individuals needing ADA accommodations are asked to contact the SDDOT ADA Coordinator at 605‑773‑3540 at least two business days before the meeting. The department notes that the meeting location is physically accessible.

Written comments will be accepted through Friday, Aug. 14, 2026.
