Northeast News SD - Watertown, SD - A Watertown woman was hospitalized Friday morning following a single-vehicle crash on Willow Creek Drive. The incident occurred around 7:46 AM in the 2200 block, prompting a swift response from the Watertown Police Department and Watertown Fire Rescue.
According to witness accounts, the black 2014 Cadillac SRX was traveling eastbound when it veered into the oncoming lane, left the roadway, and struck a light pole and two trees before rolling multiple times. The vehicle sustained extensive damage and was declared a total loss.
Authorities believe the crash was triggered by a medical emergency suffered by the 35-year-old driver, who was the sole occupant of the vehicle. She was wearing her seatbelt and was transported in stable condition by Watertown Fire Rescue. Alcohol and drugs are not suspected to be factors.

Westbound traffic on Willow Creek Dr. was disrupted for approximately an hour during the investigation and cleanup. Watertown Utilities assisted with the downed light pole, and Active Towing removed the vehicle from the scene.
Police expressed gratitude to witnesses who provided crucial information during the response.
