South Dakota DLR to Host “Upskill Your Workforce” Webinar on Employee Training and AI Funding

Northeast Radio SD News – Watertown, SD - The South Dakota Department of Labor and Regulation (DLR) will host the next installment of its Workforce Knowledge Series on Thursday, July 9, focusing on strategies and resources to help employers strengthen employee skills and prepare for emerging workforce needs.


The virtual Session, titled “Upskill Your Workforce,” begins at 11:30 a.m. CDT (10:30 a.m. MDT) and will run for one hour.


According to DLR Business Service Specialist Brent Mohrmann, the Session will highlight two key areas:


·        DLR resources for employee skill development, including tools that support essential workplace skills, personal development, and workforce readiness.

·        A new business funding opportunity for AI adoption, covering available training options, details of the competitive application process, and important deadlines for employers seeking to integrate artificial intelligence into their operations.

The Workforce Knowledge Series is designed to give South Dakota businesses timely information on programs, training, and opportunities that support workforce growth across the state.
