Northeast Radio SD News – Sioux Falls, SD - The South Dakota Board of Economic Development has approved a Revolving Economic Development and Initiative (REDI) Loan of up to $15 million for SFC Global Supply Chain, Inc., aimed at bolstering new investment and job creation in Sioux Falls.
The funding is designated to support the construction of a new frozen foods manufacturing facility in Sioux Falls. This project is noted as a substantial investment in the state’s growing food manufacturing sector and is projected to create nearly 600 new jobs.
Governor Larry Rhoden commented on the significance of the decision, stating, “This project represents one of the top accomplishments of the Noem-Rhoden Administration and shows what’s possible when the state and private sector work together toward shared goals. We’re proud to support projects that strengthen communities, create jobs, and keep South Dakota Open for Opportunity.”
GOED Commissioner Bill Even also emphasized the state's positive business environment. “South Dakota’s business climate continues to earn the confidence of major employers,” Even said. “When good companies choose to expand here, it benefits our workforce, our communities, and our state as a whole.”
The Board also included a note that previous loan approvals granted to SFC Global Supply Chain, Inc. for related projects did not close or fund and have since expired.
