Northeast Radio SD News - Watertown, SD - The 11th annual "Sell-A-Song" fundraiser for the Beacon Center concluded on a high note, exceeding its financial goals thanks to widespread community support and generous contributions.

The day-long event, hosted by KXLG Radio 99.1, raised a remarkable total of $113,195 for the Beacon Center, which provides vital support and services to survivors.

The successful campaign was fueled by multiple sponsors and key donations, including a substantial anonymous donor match of $50,000. Additionally, the local non-profit organization Angel’s Attic contributed $20,000 to the total. The final figure reflects the profound impact of individual calls, online contributions, and various drop-offs throughout the day, as community members tuned in to hear powerful stories and learn more about the center’s mission.

The substantial funds raised on Giving Tuesday will directly benefit the Beacon Center’s life-changing work, helping them continue to serve the Watertown area. The event highlights the community’s commitment to supporting survivors and fostering a strong network of care.
