Three Injured in UTV–Pickup Collision Near White Early Sunday

Northeast Radio SD News – White, SD - Three people were taken to the hospital after a UTV and a pickup collided early Sunday morning northwest of White, according to the Brookings County Sheriff’s Office.


First responders were dispatched around 1:12 a.m. on June 7 to the intersection of 473rd Avenue and 201st Street. According to the report, a 2006 Chevy Silverado was traveling north while a 2022 Can-Am UTV was heading south when the two vehicles collided in the roadway. The UTV came to rest in the ditch.

The driver and passenger of the pickup reported no injuries. All three occupants of the UTV were transported to Brookings Hospital for evaluation and treatment. The extent of their injuries was not known at the time of the report.


Both vehicles sustained disabling damage. No damage estimates were available.

Responding agencies included White Fire Department, White Ambulance, Brookings County Sheriff’s Office, Brookings Ambulance, and the South Dakota Highway Patrol.


The crash remains under investigation by the South Dakota Highway Patrol.
