Vehicle Accident on Willow Creek Drive Sends One to Hospital

Northeast Radio News SD - Watertown, SD - Watertown Fire Rescue (WFR) crews responded to a motor vehicle accident on Willow Creek Drive just before 8:00 a.m. on Friday.


Upon arrival, crews found a black Cadillac SRX that had veered off the road into the north boulevard. The vehicle had struck and knocked over a light post and a small tree.


WFR personnel extricated the single occupant from the vehicle and transported the individual to Prairie Lakes Hospital for further evaluation.

Engine crews remained on the scene for approximately 40 minutes to clear debris and assist a wrecker service in removing the vehicle. Watertown Municipal Utilities and the Watertown Street Department were also called to the scene to manage the downed light pole and tree, respectively.


WFR was assisted by the Watertown Police Department (WPD), Active Towing, Watertown Municipal Utilities, and the Watertown Street Department.
