Watertown Announces Final Yard of the Month Winners for 2025 Season

Northeast Radio SD News - Watertown, SD - The Yard of the Month Committee has announced the final winners for the 2025 season, recognizing Watertown residents and businesses for their landscaping efforts. The August awards conclude the program for the year.

The August winners are:

• Ward A: Wayne and Christine Lovelis, 2120 13th Ave. Circle

• Ward B: Todd and Darla Becking, 1272 Karen St.

• Ward C: Dave and Roxy Heinrichs, 3422 Pelican Lane

• Ward D: Nancy Hlavacek, 1918 2nd Ave. SE

• Ward E: Dennis and MaryAnn Arnold, 844 Pompeska Dr.

• Whimsical: Mark and Cathy Wientjes, 1016 4th Ave. SE

• Business: Hi-Rise Apartments, 6 1st St. SW

  
  

The Yard of the Month program, which runs from June through August, celebrates those who enhance the community through landscaping. Winners receive a special sign for their yard, a certificate signed by the mayor, and recognition from local media.

The committee extended its appreciation to all citizens who participated in beautifying their properties and to those who submitted nominations throughout the season.
