Watertown Announces Veterans Day Closures and Adjusted Garbage Collection

Northeast Radio SD News - Watertown, SD - The City of Watertown has announced adjusted hours and several facility closures for Veterans Day, Tuesday, November 11th, as City employees observe the holiday.

Residents are encouraged to plan for the altered schedule, particularly concerning solid waste services.

Solid Waste Services Adjustments

·  Landfill Closure: The Watertown Regional Landfill will be closed on Tuesday, November 11th.

·  Garbage Collection Change: Residential garbage typically scheduled for collection on Tuesday, November 11th, will be picked up later in the week on Friday, November 14th.

·  Yard Waste: The Yard Waste Drop-Off Site will be closed on Veterans Day. Regular hours of 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. will remain in effect for Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday.

City Facility Closures

The following City facilities will be closed on Veterans Day (Tuesday, November 11th):

·         City Hall

·         Watertown Regional Library

·         Watertown Regional Landfill

·         Fieldhouse (Parks, Recreation & Forestry Department Offices)
