Watertown Area Chamber Ag Committee Seeks Nominations for 2026 Ag Advocate of the Year Award
Northeast Radio SD News – Watertown, SD - The Watertown Area Chamber of Commerce Agriculture Committee has officially opened the call for nominations for the 2026 “Ag Advocate of the Year” award.
Agriculture is a major part of what makes the Watertown community and the surrounding region thrive. Behind the scenes of this vital industry are dedicated individuals who give their time, talents, and passion to keep it strong. The Ag Advocate award is designed to recognize someone who has gone above and beyond to promote, support, educate, or make a meaningful difference in the local agricultural sector.
The Chamber is looking to shine a spotlight on those who go the extra mile. Community members are encouraged to nominate anyone they feel deserves recognition, which may include:

· Agricultural educators
· Ag-related business owners
· Mentors and volunteers
· Anyone who champions the cause of agriculture in the community
This award aligns with the enduring mission of the Watertown Winter Farm Show, which has been promoting agriculture since 1946.
