Watertown Boys & Girls Club Sells Out Wild Truck Raffle, Awards 2026 Jeep Compass at Annual Block Party

Northeast Radio SD News – Watertown, SD - The local community turned out in full force to support local youth as the Boys & Girls Club of Watertown hosted its annual Block Party and Wild Truck Raffle drawing.


Organizers, including Executive Director Liz Brownell and Community Development Director Kelly Jaderborg, officially announced that the fundraiser sold out all 1,050 available tickets, marking another successful year of community-driven support for local families.

The highlight of the evening came as the raffle drum spun to select the top prize winners. Special guest Cindy Williamson—a dedicated Boys & Girls Club employee of nearly 34 years who was recently inducted into the Greater Miss Midwest Area Council Hall of Fame—had the honor of drawing the winning tickets.

Funds raised from the annual raffle directly benefit the Club’s operational expenses, ensuring yearly membership fees remain low and affordable for all local families.

The impact of the Boys & Girls Club of Watertown continues to grow:


·         Daily Impact: The Club currently serves an average of 350 youth per day throughout the summer.

·         Nutritional Support: In the month of June alone, staff served 12,825 healthy meals and snacks to attending children.

·         Comprehensive Programs: Membership fees cover homework assistance, mentorship, and high-yield recreational activities led by dedicated staff.

In addition to the drawings, attendees enjoyed an evening packed with family-friendly entertainment, including face painting, hamburgers, hot dogs, and hair chalking hosted by the Sr. Snow Queen and Junior Miss Congeniality, lawn games, food, and a popular 6:30 PM candy toss for the kids.
