Northeast Radio SD News – Watertown, SD - The Watertown City Council will consider declaring a set of telescopic bleachers at the Prairie Lakes Wellness Center as surplus property during its meeting on Monday, Oct. 5, 2026.

The item is included on the meeting's consent agenda. Under the proposed action submitted by City Manager Alan Stager, declaring the property surplus would authorize the city to sell the bleachers through a sealed-bid process.

The proposal lists 2017 Interkal 21-row telescoping bleachers with sculpted module seating, a 30-inch deck, and a 10.25-inch rise. The seating system includes two main sections:

·         North Bleacher Set: Measures 92 feet wide and extends to 54 feet.

·         South Bleacher Set: Measures 111 feet wide and extends to 54 feet.

City staff recommends approving the motion to declare the equipment surplus and proceed with the sealed-bid sale.
