Watertown Curling Club Opens Registration for 2026 Fall League at Prairie Lakes Ice Arena

Northeast Radio SD News – Watertown, SD - Registration is now open for the Watertown Curling Club’s 2026 Fall Curling League, an eight‑week season running Sundays from October 25 through December 13 at Prairie Lakes Ice Arena.

Matches will last about 90 minutes, with the first draw beginning at 6:30 p.m. If nine or more teams sign up, a second draw will be added at 8:00 p.m. The league is capped at 16 teams, with four players per team, and each team will play eight matches during the season.

The cost is $120 per person or $480 per team. Participants may register individually or as a full team, and both new and experienced curlers are encouraged to join.

The Watertown Curling Club launched in 2024 following the opening of Prairie Lakes Ice Arena. What began with just four teams has grown to more than a dozen, reflecting strong community interest and the expanded opportunities made possible by the city’s new ice facility.

Businesses interested in supporting the club may explore available sponsorship packages. The club is also in the early planning stages for its first bonspiel — a curling tournament — tentatively scheduled for fall 2027.
