Watertown Fire Rescue promotes Adam Heinrich to Battalion Chief

Northeast Radio SD News - Watertown, SD - Watertown Fire Rescue has announced the promotion of Lieutenant Adam Heinrich to the rank of Battalion Chief. Heinrich, who joined the department in 2007 and was promoted to Lieutenant in 2021, will officially begin his new role overseeing C-Shift on October 2.


Department officials praised Heinrich’s professionalism, integrity, and dedication to the mission of public safety. “His promotion reflects not only his hard work and commitment, but also the leadership he will continue to bring to this organization,” the department shared.

As Battalion Chief, Heinrich will take on expanded responsibilities in emergency response coordination, personnel management, and operational oversight—key roles in maintaining the department’s high standards of service.


Watertown Fire Rescue extended congratulations to Heinrich and thanked him for his continued service to the community.
