Watertown Fire Rescue Responds to Structure Fire at Rooster Bar in Watertown, SD

Northeast Radio SD News – Watertown, SD - Watertown Fire Rescue responded to a reported structure fire at the Rooster Bar, located at 5920 9th Ave. SW, at approximately 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 11.


Upon arrival at the scene, firefighters found that the building owner had already extinguished a fire located outside at the base of the structure.

Emergency crews conducted a thorough check for any fire extension into the building. Firefighters used a water can to extinguish three small smoldering spots and ventilated smoke from inside the premises.


Responders remained on the scene for approximately 30 minutes.


The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
