Watertown Fire Rescue to Host 9/11 Remembrance Ceremony at Foundation Plaza on September 11

Northeast Radio SD News – Watertown, SD - Watertown Fire Rescue will host a community 9/11 Remembrance Ceremony on Wednesday, September 11, at Foundation Plaza in downtown Watertown. The event begins at 8:00 a.m. and is expected to last approximately 30 minutes, according to a media release from the department.

The ceremony will honor the lives lost in the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks and recognize the courage of first responders who answered the call on that day. Community members are invited to attend and take part in the observance.


For those unable to be present in person, Northeast Radio SD will livestream the ceremony across all major platforms, including Facebook, YouTube, LinkedIn, Kick, Twitch, and Instagram, ensuring the event is accessible to viewers throughout the region and beyond.


Watertown Fire Rescue encourages residents to join in remembering the significance of the day and reflecting on its lasting impact.
