Northeast Radio SD News - Watertown, SD - Watertown Fire Rescue has officially recognized the successful completion of the probationary period for Firefighter/Paramedic Ryley Serreyn. The milestone was marked today with a presentation from Fire Chief Don Rowland.

Serreyn was presented with his black helmet by Chief Rowland, a traditional symbol indicating that his probationary period had been completed and that he had achieved full operational status within the department.

Watertown Fire Rescue shared the news, highlighting Serreyn's dedication to serving the community. The completion of this rigorous probationary phase confirms that Serreyn has met all the necessary standards and training requirements to operate as a full-fledged

Firefighter/Paramedic.

Watertown is rare in that every member of the crew is a full firefighter and paramedic. Therefore, in all crashes, an ambulance and a fire engine can be called out simultaneously to assist, and the department has a greater ability to serve the community when multiple calls come in at once.

The department's commitment to strengthening its ranks with highly trained professionals like Serreyn ensures the continuity of emergency services for Watertown residents.

Thank you for your dedication and service to the community.
